Overview

The Master's degree in Business Intelligence, with a specialization in Behavioral and Digital Economics for Effective Management, is offered by the University Marie and Louis Pasteur (UMLP) and is affiliated with the Graduate School TRANSBIO.

This international program is designed to equip students with the interdisciplinary knowledge and practical skills required for junior management positions as well as expert roles involving project leadership and strategic decision-making. It emphasizes the contribution of behavioral economics to organizational and managerial decision-making while developing advanced competencies in data analysis, forecasting, and information retrieval for business and economic intelligence.

As a member of the Graduate School TRANSBIO, the program also places a strong emphasis on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and sustainable development, integrating these issues into economic, strategic, and marketing analyses.

The program is taught by a multidisciplinary team of academic researchers and experienced professionals specializing in behavioral economics, data analytics, strategic intelligence, public regulation, environmental economics, and management. It is supported by the research expertise of the CRESE and CREGO laboratories at UMLP, providing students with a strong connection between cutting-edge research and professional practice.

By combining economics, management, behavioral sciences, digital technologies, and environmental perspectives, this Master's program prepares future managers, consultants, analysts, and researchers to address the complex challenges of competitive and business intelligence, strategic decision-making in a rapidly evolving global environment.

Rail Innovation Challenge with Agorize

In an exciting new partnership with the crowdsourcing platform Agorize, BDEEM students recently participated in their first major innovation contest: the Rail Innovation Challenge sponsored by FerroCampus. Applying their expertise in strategic intelligence and behavioral economics to envision the future of the railway sector, two BDEEM teams successfully advanced to the semi-finals of this highly competitive national event. This inaugural participation not only showcased our students’ creativity against top French institutions but also provided them with a valuable opportunity to build their professional portfolios and expand their industry networks.

Behavioural Approaches to Sustainability Challenges

In an era where sustainability is a global priority, students from the BDEEM program traveled to Germany to study how behavioral economics and management practices can drive environmental, societal, and political change.

From October 5 to October 10, the cohort participated in the on-site week of a Blended Intensive Program (BIP) titled “Behavioural Approaches to Sustainability Challenges”. The event was hosted at the University of Göttingen and organized in collaboration with our ENLIGHT network partners.

I really enjoyed my first year of the BDEEM program at the University of Franche-Comte. The campus is situated in the magnificent city of Besancon, which is a paradise for nature-lovers, like myself. I was delighted with the abundant opportunities for doing sports offered through out the year. Regarding the academics, I found great interest in the behavioral economics component of the program. Professors were very dedicated, helpful, and genuinely interested in their subjects. Overall, it was a truly valuable and pleasurable experience.
